Mr. Gappa currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Starke County Economic Development Foundation, Inc., and serves as chairman of its Education Committee. Mr. Gappa is the Superintendent of Schools for the Knox School Corporation.



Jim Wagner

Vice President

Mr. Wagner is retired from CenturyLink (formerly Embarq), where he served as community relations manager for more than 30 years. He also serves as secretary on the Board of the Starke County Economic Development Foundation, Inc.

Board Member

Mr. Hollenbaugh just retired as the area vocational director of the North Central Area Vocational Cooperative after 35 years, and in that capacity, he worked with the staff at SCILL to sponsor the automotive technology and welding programs, which service 10 different school corporations in northern Indiana. Prior to the automotive technology program's inception in 2000, SCILL, with the assistance of Mr. Hollenbaugh, hosted an A+ Computer Class, which now meets in Plymouth, Ind.

Mr. Sonnemaker is retired from Lockheed Martin Corporation, where he worked in facilities management for more than 40 years. He previously served several terms as the president of the Starke County Economic Development Foundation, Inc.

Board Member

Mr. Weisheit is a retired manufacturer who at one time was the general manager of the MPI facility in Knox, Indiana. Before that, he was the director of engineering and manufacturing with Grotnes Metalforming Systems, Inc., a special machine tool builder in Chicago with licensee operations in Japan and the Netherlands. He also is a member of the Board of the Starke County Economic Development Foundation, Inc., and has served as the chairperson of several committees of that Board.

Treasurer

With over 30 years of experience in Community Banking, Carla Musial has served in the positions of Vice President and Knox Branch Manager at the DeMotte State Bank. Carla also serves as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Starke County Economic Development Foundation.

Mr. Weaver serves as the executive director of the Starke County Economic Development Foundation, Inc., and serves as an ex-officio member of SCILL's Board because of that title.

Secretary

Mr. Hanselman became Executive Director of the North Central Area Vocational Cooperative on July 1, 2014 after several years as principal of Culver High School. He is also a member of the Workforce Development Committee of the Starke County Economic Development Foundation.

Representative Member - Mayor of Knox

Dennis currently serves as Mayor of the City of Knox after having spent several years as the Starke County Surveyor and as a member of the Starke County Plan Commission.

At-Large Member, Since January, 2015

Janice Hernandez is involved in many different boards and organization in the Starke County community. She has been in the staffing business since 2006. She owns Professional Employment Partners. Her service works with companies to help them find the best employees to work at the facilities. Janice is currently serving on the Foundation’s Workforce Development Committee and is serving her initial term on the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
